Dr. Kenneth R. Sabbag, M.D.
Dr. Kenneth R. Sabbag is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty expertise in surgery of the hand, wrist, and elbow. He is a Fellow of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (FASSH) — a distinction held by fewer than 2,500 surgeons worldwide — reflecting a deep commitment to excellence in hand surgery.
Dr. Sabbag completed his Hand Surgery Fellowship at Harvard Medical School–affiliated hospitals, where he trained under some of the nation’s foremost specialists. He earned his medical degree from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at USC, developing a broad foundation in musculoskeletal medicine.
In his Pasadena practice, Dr. Sabbag treats a wide spectrum of conditions, from acute traumatic injuries such as fractures and tendon lacerations to complex chronic conditions including arthritis, nerve compression disorders, and Dupuytren’s disease. His approach is evidence-based, minimally invasive whenever possible, and always centered on achieving the best functional outcome for the patient.
Dr. Sabbag takes pride in listening carefully to each patient’s goals and concerns, explaining diagnoses clearly, and working collaboratively on a treatment plan tailored to each individual’s lifestyle and needs. He believes that an informed patient is an empowered patient.
When not in the operating room or clinic, Dr. Sabbag stays at the forefront of his field through ongoing education, research, and involvement with professional organizations. He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the California Orthopaedic Association.
